I did post previously about my Freelander 2 but looking for help again.

I replaced the oxygen sensor as it was showing as faulty. That code has now vanished. The code P0299-00 Turbo underboost remains. I also have a P1-889-74 oil pressure pump performance which I think is Halden needs service.

What I am seeking is a garage or someone who can get my Freelander running normal again. Only symptoms are when under load accelerating car idles and can be a smooth kangaroo ride and it throws out a bit of black smoke.

I am in Manchester and can drop car off anytime for work to be done. just need somewhere to go and ideas of cost.

I would try EGR replacement myself if I had a step by step guide but it seems daunting.

Any help ideas greatly received.

Hi mate.
Did you get to the bottom of the P0299 code?
I'm having the same issue and am chasing my tail at the minute with it.

It's currently in the garage awaiting a turbo rebuild but they're holding off for now so they can review the car one more time.

I took it to a garage who smoke tested it. Intercooler had big hole in it. £400 for new one fitted. Still same code and symptoms, back in garage tomorrow for another smoke test, the garage admitted they didn't retest after the intercooler was fitted.
I will see tomorrow.
I have seen a thread elsewhere that suggests it could be Crankshaft position sensor. same symptoms but doesn't show on diagnostics as a fault unless the sensor packs up completely in which case the car doesn't start. fingers crossed for tomorrow its an easy fix.

I should be hearing back from my garage tomorrow as well.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for the both of us.

I've replaced all of my charged air hoses and cleaned the MAP and MAF sensors. Ran out of ideas and took it to the garage who initially said it was the turbo and they wanted to order the turbo cassette to replace instead of buying a new turbo.
Now they want to hold off and continue diagnosing but I should find out tomorrow, hopefully.

Once again been to garage, smoke says main turbo pipe has leak /split. £145 plus vat and 1.5 hours labour total about £225.
Let's hope it fixes it🤞
going in next Wednesday as part is order only from landrover.

Still keeping my fingers crossed.
I've replaced all of my turbo hoses and still have the same issue.
Was hoping I could repair the issue myself as it seemed to be a straight forward fix.
With that fix not working, I'm wondering if it's a split intercooler or worse if the turbo has chucked it.

Will let you know what my garage says today
