hi folks ,
needing help to identify what i believe is a vacuum /breather hose that has been gadjed up in my 2001 freelander 2.5 v6..it is situated under the engine cover ,just to the left of the oil filling cap ,there are 2 of them ,the furthest left is the one in question ,it has a wee white push fit type thingy that fits into the engine ,which is now pretty loose ...thinking i might have to ram it and jam it back in unless i can figure out what its called ...any help much appreciated ...nigel

It's the PCV pipe. There is an O ring seal in the fitting on the cam cover. A few turns of insulation tape will make an effective gas tight seal. The fitting in the cam cover is NLA iirc.
