Help needed please.

1998 V8 Disco.Faulty alarm,my disco kept on immobilising.To get it running i had to set the alarm off,turn it off and on wait 5 min then it fired up.I was running it up temp when it just stopped,now there is no spark.Would a faulty spider stop it sparking.It was running and just stopped,ps theres plenty petrol in it.

Well its a symptom of an iffy spider. I had a similar thing for over a year till it finally gave out on the outside lane.

There's two circuits one is the cranking the other ignition/ecu, so if it is an iffy spider and you can still crank the engine link the + of the vehicles battery to the + at the coil and it should start.
