Good of you Dr

Sure the OP can bung in some nurofen along with the burger:D

Changing the subject - have you tried Laphroig Triple Wood?

I like the more peaty Talisker as a rule, but the Triple Wood is pretty smooth and special:)

Drink far too much myself (mainly stella and decent wine (Berry Brothers well worth a look)), but prefer the day slightly rounded:cool:

Is that the one that comes in the white and green sleeve ? if so then yes I have and it is very nice as you say

Not a fan of Talisker though, I prefer a sweeter whisky, something thats been matured in a sherry cask rather than a peaty one.

I've not been drinking much whisky lately the Jager has taken over haha, the joys of partying

Now you're just making me feel old:mad:

Yep, prefer sherry cask too - Laphroig is usually very peaty (I've been there and seen them burn the peat:D), but the triple wood cask maturing rounds it off very nicely indeed:)

all this drinking talk is making my mouth water now lol.

I'm not overly worried about a little cost to get an idea of how she lies, and if he lies lol.

Rac is nearly £300 notes now.
AA have stopped and others are about £250.

And do they really understand landy's which, lets face it, are a league of their own and certainly not a car.

haha sorry ;)

peaty ones just don't do it for me, its why I prefer the gold Macallan to the silver one. Might have to try this Laphroig one though if its not the green and white one :p

Can't answer whether they understand Landies, but would chose a member off here that knows there way around myself, but then it's a fair responsibility on the member, so ultimately you have to be happy

Get the bottle out then ;)

I wouldn't trust RAC, I assume they'd do an HPI check, look at the wheels, UJ's then see all the oil on the ground and go no its buggered!

there would be no come back to any member and hpi would be carried out by me if i can get a chasis number whilst their there as is very quick i know.
Just as important to know chasis plate details are correct and i'm not even sure where to find it actually. There, useless arn't i.

Useless no - we're not born knowing:D

Read the guide I posted in Post 7!!!!

VIN number:

- bottom of windscreen, passenger side
- Above brake servo, in engine bay drivers side
- Right dumb iron to the right of the drivers front wheel as you look at it

Now telling whether they are genuine - that's a different question:eek:

HPI can be done by reg number by pc or mobile text

i've printed the guide off to read and absorb once my rug rat is in bed.
I'm never afraid to say 'i don't know' and always like to learn. Hence joining the forum.
I hope someday i'll be able to add something to it all myself as i do on the other car forum.
In the meantime, i can't wait to get back into one of the old girls.. landy that is.

Telling genuine or not!! well, i stand on the fence on that one.

Respect your honesty. Re: Genuine or not - sadly I think I could be taken in by a good ringer - I guess most of us could, but knowing how to tip the odds in your favour is all you can do

Am sure it will work out for you
