Hi people. I've got a 2000 D2, I only bought it a couple of weeks ago and last week I changed the radiator. When I reconnected the battery the key fob, of which I've only got one, stopped working and I can't turn the immobiliser off. Initially when I disconnected and then reconnected the battery again the immobiliser went off and i could start and drive the motor. However as soon as i turned the ign off and took the key out the immobilser came on again needing the battery to be disconnected/reconnected again. However this no longer works and the immobilser is now on and won't come off. I've tried my hawkeye diagnostic handset on it and in the transmitter section it says the plip (keyfob) needs reprogramming. The local LR dealer has supplied my with a 4 digit key number and a 4 figure EKA number. The hawkeye appears to need a longer key number than 4 digits and the EKA code won't input with the key in the door lock. The door lock works and operates the central locking/unlocking so I assume the door sender is functioning. Any suggestions as to where I can get a longer key number or better still any suggestion regarding getting rid of the immobilser facility all together will be gladly received!
