Help!!! i need to sell my defender

Hello

I need some advice on selling my landy, I live in Linconshire

1992 110 200tdi defender green, 98000 miles, been in the family from new!

The handbrake doesn't work and the brakes don't work, well they do, just due to a fluid leak somewhere

Horn doesn't work

Front tyres probably need replacing

A few dints and scraches and usual corrosion for its age

Engines very good and... the heaters work very well!!!!!!

Could someone tell me what its worth as it is. Also if it would be worth selliing it with all problems fixed, ie with an MOT?

dude, judging by the rot in the bulkhead and rear crossmember, coupled with the dent in the steering guard which says she has had some 'good' times off road, i reckon you can get about 1k for an easy sale...

sort brakes and check chassis for any glaring rust, sort rear crossmember and paint it black. see about getting bulkhead welded and replace rear door handle (about £7.00) and you can prolly get around 2.5 -3k for her. on the plus side, it is a one owner vehicle you say and the interior looks in very good shape... the thing to remember about defenders is they clean up well and for a little effort you can see great results, but and it`s a big but, when things have gone too far, they are pretty much fubar (read corroded beyond repair) the other problem is once you start getting stuck in you tend to fall in love with them and just have to keep them. well in my experience anyway

lol, try and sell it locally with a newspaper ad or a flyer in the window or even put it on autotrader or the gumtree...
