Disco 1 Help I killed it!!!

OK so here it is, I changed the spring on the drivers door and have (i think) damaged the lock barrel.

the car will lock and unlock from inside with the door pin, opens fine from inside and outside handle but here's my problem.

It wont lock or unlock with the key, seems to be no resistance at all (the linkage bar is on)
if i try and lock it with the fob it the pin twitches and it stays unlocked.

what i have managed for now is if i hold the pin down when the door is open, it will lock then try to unlock and remain locked. (i know this is not good for the central locking but its working for now)
then i lock the car with the fob (at this point all is locked and alarm/immobilizer is set)
when unlocking with the fob the door opens fine!

any suggestions welcomed if i need to get a new barrel anyone know the best place to go roughly what i should be paying etc...

im also looking for a lift module but as its only to sort the rear windows im in no rush so anyone who knows for one of them and roughly what i should be paying for that would be great.

Edit note: after doing some more research it would seem i have incorrectly positioned the aculator i'll move that first thing in the morning (door card still off) and report back on the fob issue.
and i think i may have snapped some plastic thing on the back of the barrel, don't remember seeing or hearing it happen but it fits my symptoms now to try find out what it should look like and check it against mine :S

ok new update the lock springs are now all done the aculator did need moving on the drivers door - everything now locks and unlocks with the fob.

as for the lock itself i believe its the plastic part on the back thats gone it will unlock but not lock the doors with the key. as the fob is working at this point no rush on sorting it out but i have found the plastic part available on paddockspares.com for £13.33 part number STC1219 might be of use to someone
