Read a few posts as seem to be having nothing but problems with my freelander 2 .. ( thanks to whoever posted the instructions on how to change gear selector .. just done that as spring broke !)

Anyway vehicle just out of warranty and the rear diff went ...at 40k?,!? .. had it changed a couple of weeks ago now and thankfully didn't need front one doing which they told me was highly likely as they both go at same time ?

Next day started getting strange clunking noise in reverse but only occasionally ... seems to be when 3 point turning and the first couple of gear changes in the morning.. it not every day ... ..

I just can't face another big bill .. took it back to garage but Sod's law it didn't do anything and all they could do was ask if I left hand brake on ! May be female but yes I do tend to take it off before I drive ..

Any suggestions or advice much appreciated ...
ps I know nothing about cars so please explain in very simple language!

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I suggest you post your query in this section https://www.landyzone.co.uk/forum/land-rover-freelander.9/
There's some very common problems with freelanders and they are a welcoming lot over in that section.
Good luck :)
