if yer brake fluid is low enough to need topping up youve either got well worn pads and shoes or a leak,

I'm guessing a leak as I've got a bleed nipple on the fds caliper that needs replacing (was planned for today, before the landy took up smoking!) and i think its leaking slightly so it would make sense.

should have asked for a huge discount :D

wouldnt have took it for free mate.

had major water ingress all over it stunk like ****. the body had just been waxoyl'd over rust and **** because when my reeme mechanic friend asked is it ok to tap and press parts on the chasiss he said yeah just dont push anything through!

right so i've had a few days now to find all the little gremlins the fire has left me with, and so far the list reads=
windscreen wipers have stopped working
indicator clicker (presume a relay) has stopped
sluggish to start
beeping light reminder stopped
lost all dash illumination but not clock

I'm at a loss, as the rest of the fuse box looked fine, and the loom didn't seem too badly damaged. Has anyone else had any experience of an electrical fire like this? got any pointers?

put a good 2nd hand fusebox in the bugger as i had this with an escort caused by a short on the heated windscreen cooking a fuse id lost the wipers brake lights interior lights dash illumination windows and left indicator

i couldnt find any fault on the loom nor any relays with anything wrong and no matter how many electricians i had out to it they couldnt find anything either

so when i changed the fusebox i got curious and cut the old one open lowe and behold both the main bus rails inside had melted and all the solder in there was one big blob smack in the middle of it all

the new fusebox however cured evry little problem with it and even got me heates seats working for the first time since i bought the bugger :D
