Good morning everyone I have just joined, I have just bought my first Range Rover a P38 2.5,
The switch sounds like a primitive anti-theft device. Is it hidden? Could be an ignition cutout, but you'll know bettern us!Thank you for the warm welcome!
It’s running great thank you, I’m going to tidy up the paint work and use it as my daily car, the only annoying thing is a switch needs to be flicked on before starting for the fuel pump I think? It’s not the original engine and it appears this engine has no EGR?
Guessing your engine has a metal inlet manifold like in my picture next to my name. The pump doesn’t engage on cranking with early engines, may be an unorthodox hotstart type system. Does glow lamp come on when engine is hot/when switch is flicked?
If it works - live with it or take it out and cross your fingers
Welcome to LandyZone,
Good choice of Landy
Pitty it’s red
