Just saying hello!
We have owned our LR 90 2.25 Petrol 1984 since about 1986!
However, 8 years ago we laid it up as it was running rough and it was costing us a fortune at the garage.
Last few weeks have had a bit of time and got her running myself and I have to say quite sweet! So pleased!
The ignition switch is a bit temperamental and I have a new switch and am about to put it in. Have seen a really good post here which has been of help.
I am in need of a bit more help! The little screws that hold the switch in place are not screws......don't suppose anyone knows what I need to un do them? A special screwdriver?
Any help would be appreciated:)

Welcome to lz im guessing you will need torques??

Hello and welcome:)
if you mean the fixings that hold the ignition barrel on to the column they are shear bolts that the head brakes off , if so some irwin removers, which are a very good addition to any landy tool kit

Hello all!
I just thought I would come back to you and let you know how I got on with putting in the new ignition switch.
Well a fiddle for sure, but the good thing is you can change it without removing the whole steering lock and those shear bolts.
The little screws I was talking about turned out to be tiny Philips screws. Impossible to do with a screwdriver, but managed to do them with a drive head and a little spanner see pics.
Also in case anyone does this and cannot remember which wire goes where i show a pic of that too.

oh! I can't seem to attach pictures! it just hangs......anyone else have problems with an apple laptop?

Anyway the ignition switch has numbered connectors so this is how the wires go:-
1 - Red and white wire
2 - Both white wires
3 - Brown
5 - Orange and brown wire

Looking to change the clutch master cylinder next and the radiator.

Anyone recommend a good place to shop for OEM parts? Some of these websites are a minefield! I got a replacement rear door lock / handle from britpart and it was totally different to the original and therefore took much longer to fit!!!

Thanks again everyone :)

Welcome Aboard :)

Looking to change the clutch master cylinder next and the radiator.

IMO, change both the master and slave .... worth a nosy here:-

https://lofclutches.com/

their cylinders reduce the pedal effort significantly.... hopefully available for your injun/gb ...

Also - if you have a brass radiator, get it re-cored - don't fit a plastic replacement - they are utter carp, long term ;)
