Owned a 110 td5 for just over 3 years. Well it started life as a td5 but since owning I have swopped the td5 for a 3.9 V8. Dumped the fuel injection nonsense and it now breathes through a big 4 barrel Edelbrock carb. Well it is an American Buick engine and the twin SU carbs never really seemed man enough for the job.
We also lost the manual transmission and have gone for a ZF auto box. Sounds fantastic and drives very well. Best vehicle I have owned in over 40 years of driving and has been a lot of fun to own and drive.
We also have a Disco 4. Lovely car but nowhere near as much fun as the Defender.
