Hi , been a long time lurker but since my mechanical skills only go as far as changing the brake discs and changing the oil never bothered joining the forum as there are plenty of more experienced people on the forum who can help better than i can.
Bought a Freelander MK1 2.0 D , before i bought it i scoured this site for what to look out for when buying secondhand then went to look at the first one i saw on ebay , Nice chap who was selling it and he told me that it had the following problems :
Central locking not working.
Drivers side window not working.
Sunroof not working and leaking like a sieve.
Boot well full of water.
Broken rear door handle.
So of course i bought it as those where all the problems to look out for and apart from the passenger side window packing in nothing else could break.
Had it three years now , 2 mots with minor faults, did mean to fix all the problems but never got around to it (apart from bailing out the boot well every 6 months).
But finally somethings happened to it that needs a bit of technical advice on how to fix it .
