I am new to the world of Land Rovers having finally got one after wanting one for ages.

I have just got a 1981 Series 3 2.25 petrol SWB. this has lots to do so i am sure i will be spending many hours on here looking for solutions.

Can anyone help with my first one. I seem to have an engine oil leak. does any one know of the main areas that it may be leaking?

Anywhere that has oil in it. They all leak. Chill out, eat a hotdog...admire your fine purchase, from a distance and park it on the neighbours drive/street.

:welcome2: Oil may leak from the sump, the rocker , the crank, front and back and the gearbox. Clean up the whole engine and run it for a while and the oil will appear. Gunk is the best engine cleaner and rinse it off with water after leaving it to soak, having brushed it in. Good luck and photos are always welcome.
