i just finnished my series 3 project which started when i was 17, its taken me along time due to many factors but ive got there in the end. She (ive named my landy Bertha after a local scammel explorer called Big Bertha) is now a truck cab painted in pastle green (as it was the origonal colour) with parabolic springs, 1 ton shackles, an overdrive and the origonal 2.25 petrol engine.

Ill nodoubt bet coming across alsorts of problems so please excuse any stupid questions or one youve heard a thousand times befor.

Another Yorkshire welcome. Hope you can laugh at yourself.

Hello all, im pretty sure i can laugh a fair bit. i think you have to see the funny side of life owning a landy, they can be a rewarding yet infuriating vehicle.

i took it to langley farm yesterday (going again today) i know the course there isnt 'extreme' but for a first time experience it really opens your eyes as to what a series motor can acheive. i was lucky to have a very experience firend as co pilot and with his advice it didnt struggle with a single thing, where as those pesky suzukis did. i had to laugh, some chav in an sj trying to get up a greasy hill, ive never seen a run up like it, he must have taken a mile run and all the go that 1 litre lump had to get it to claw its way up it, where as my old land just span a wheel slightly and with a bit more gas went streight up in 1st gear!

i deffinatly need a diesel in it, in a day its used half a tank going round a 1 mile off road course! ouch! 200 tdi here we come!

i would add some pic but all of mine appear to be way way too big!
