About 6 months ago I bought a 2.5TD 110 from a local expat forum, the car was cheap as the previous owner had decided that it would be a good idea to drive it back from Bulgaria (where his wife came from) with paraffin in the tank rather than diesel - the things people do to save money. Needless to say it was not happy when it got back here - the head gasket had blown at least.
The car (or is it truck) came to me with most of the top end of the engine in the van part at the back, so I decided to get another running engine and put that in, thinking it would be up and running more quickly...........it still does not go!
Its my first foray into 4wd ownership, apart from a short lived relationship with a Renault 2086 ex French army ambulance which was swiftly passed on to a military vehicle owner.
We live about 6km from the nearest main road that is cleared of snow, so sometimes get stuck here for about a week, so I thought a Land Rover, particularly a lwb pickup might come in useful for that, collecting heavy stuff from the builders merchants, and helping our friends out with cutting down firewood on their farm.
If I can get it going before the weather gets bad it may prove useful....

Hi

Hello from the Vendee!

Good luck with your repairs, I found a site landyboys.com quite useful for parts for our disco, returns some interesting results if you search for it with Google though!!!
