Well, been a member for a couple of months, and thought I'd say hello.
I have a 2001 Discovery Td5 which is considered our family car, but has been on significant 4x4 routes already - even with road radials!
Currently going through changing oils, filters, transfer case seals, EGR removal, and so on, but haven't decided yet far far I'll go.
Very surprised at the level of rust on UK cars, and the extent of upgrades/accessories people go to - but love it - its been my boyhood dream to own one.
My service agents are Toyota re-power agents just ****ed off I've already been where they have been - except I've done it in a standard LR whereas they've spent $NZ30k on upgrades to do the same...
I am a mechanical engineer, have an inane love/interest in lubrication technology, and are an avid user of twitter - @GrumpyRuralBoy (rural & LR focus) or @MitchellAndr (if you want hate).
This is a great forum...
