It's a LWB chassis. They were sent from Land Rover as a partial kit to Marshall Military Engineering for fitment of the special bodywork and other modifications. Between 1,000 and 3,000 of them were built, and used primarily by British and Dutch armed services.

Recently purchased and started resto-mod of a 1970 Series IIa ex-military Marshall ambulance that was stationed at British Army Training Unit Suffield in Alberta, Canada. This is my second Rover - I previously had a Discovery II - but the amby is definitely the more interesting of the two.
Welcome mate, I served at that camp/training area for several months, what a great time i had there, especially going into Medicine Hat for a good night out, hope you enjoy the forum, the knowledge on here is second to non.:vb-drink::vb-drink:🍔🍔🇬🇧🇨🇦
