As I've been a lurker on the forum for a long while, but have now upgraded from my old faithful P38 to a 110 defender, I thought it about time I said hello in the introductions section. Based just outside of Banbury, and am busy looking to see if there are any Greenlanes nearby, so if you are local say hello!

The new bus.....

The old faithful, a lot of fun, but is coming to the end of it's useful. Will either be breaking or selling as a project some time soon.

nice looking tratter there bud.

whats wrong with the p38???

Nothing too serious, the EAS is temperamental, and with the larger wheels and tyres it's Undrivable when it drops. Had new bags and bits, and can pop it straight back up using the unlock software, but means I can't rely on it. Someone with more time would no doubt get a solid motor out of it, but I travel continuously with work and don't really have the time to get to the bottom of it. I still have the drug dealer alloys that came with it, so may end up sticking those on and getting the issues sorted at some point.

Anyone local heading to the Billing show next weekend?

Although I don't post much (Nicely pointed out previously by one of the members...), I do continue to follow the forum, and very helpful it is.

Anyway, thought I would update this. I have just taken delivery of a 2013 110, and sadly had to let my old 'Doris' go. Interestingly, even at 200,000 miles the first person to see it bought it. Also sold the P38 last year, and this has now been swapped over to springs apparently. Anyway, just a quick update.

You can convert to coil springs? Nice Defender though. Nice part of the world, have friends in Lower Boddington, know it?

No, I didn't convert the P38, the guy I sold it to has, and it's still running really well apparently. At least it gets round any potential EAS issues.

Boddibgton's lovely, as are many of the villages in this part of the world, I often fish over that way. There's also stacks of landy owners, including a guy just over the road from me with a Military one.

Yeah I know the place your talking about. My friend is not a landy man. He has a 911s. Scared me ****less on the lanes.

When we were over in Byfield, I always took 'Doris' to EH Douglas for servicing or any work (can't recommend them enough). Just opposite them was a Porsche specialist. Not a Porsche guy myself, but there were some fantastic looking specials to be seen flying up and down the lanes :)
