Hello from Angus Scotland.....

Hey folks, been a member for a few years but never posted (didn't think i had).

Been quite a poor show TBH.

I had planned on getting a defender so joined but changed jobs and priorities changed. Anyhow, Im back now.

I dont post to forums much...... I feel like im my dad (he is very computer illiterate lol)

I have my car advertised and once its sold then the funds will be free for buying some off road fun.

I will ask loads of silly questions, so please accept my apology now

If there is anyone near by then give me a shout and we can maybe meet up for some tips and advice.

Hopefully see some of you in the flesh at some point.

Trawling around looking for a solution to battery drain on cantankerous old P38 diesel 1998 Rangie
Newly installed electric gates close by seem to be draining her! Such a diva!

Need to disconnect RF receiver I believe, but it is probably a bit beyond a goddess! Beloved has deserted me temporarily to serve his country.... joys of a military wife!

Just took the chance that you may know you a P38 specialist nearby? Has to be someone who is familiar with her moods as she is very fussy and can go into a strop for no reason......
You have to be a bit of a masochist to drive one of these, but she is a joy.... most of the time

Only Just starting to look for my self. There is a garage who works on a lot of Landrovers in Kirriemuir. Lindsay Harris. Think there is a place in Laurencekirk but that is a bit further away.

Hope you get the issue sorted.

Im in a wee place called Roundyhill, Not far from Kirriemuir. Are you still in the area?

I have been looking at several defenders, and there is no real logic to the pricing.

Can anyone give me a guide line to cost/age/condition?

I understand that these motors get re builds and therefor age doesn't matter to an extent but I need something.

if you think it's worth the asking price buy it, if ya not happy walk away there's plenty of em out there.

Good news for anyone looking and bad news for anyone trying to sell.

Newbie in more ways than one...... Im sure the best way to learn is by our own mistakes...... Ah well.
