Hello from a newb!!!!

Hello everyone..... It was inevitable I was gunna join a forum with me owning a series 2 TD5!!!! Looks like this is the best place to be.... I have done quite a bit of work myself on it so hopefully I can put some info forward towards some peoples problems on here (hopefully!) also am experiencing a problem regarding the well known oil pump bolt saga at the moment.... I would just like to ask whether I start the thread on here or elsewhere? Thanks a lot peeps... Some great info on here.

Hello there

I'm in the same boat as you got a series 2 td5 last month and had a few known issues happen to me week after week.

From the solenoid sticking
Three amigos
Injector loom failing

Now thought I may as well cover other areas that are known issues before they cause me more problems.

Discovery2 website covers a lot and is a great place as is this forum to make a list.

So off to order egr blanking, the oil pump bolt and a heap of other items and give it a full service this weekend.

What is the issue your experiencing with the oil pump??

Sorry drummer 87..... I've only just found out how to look at all replies!!!! We've had this TD5 for just over a year and to be honest it's been an absolute mare! If you go to the engines catorgory in the forum and then look under TD5 I have a post in there under the topic 'oil pump gone?' That explains all the problems and suggestions regarding this particular problem I'm having.... It's just saves me having to write it all out again! Thanks for the welcome people and hopefully I can put suggestions forward to other peoples problems as well as take advice... Thanks guys.

Welcome, you can also link to your other threads or posts. Rather than searching, I right clicked on your username and selected find all posts and foundwhat I was looking for
