Hi All,

New to the forum and thought I would post here first. I picked up my first RR on Friday, a 2003 RR TD6 Vogue. Its a bit of a mixed bag, mechanically seems great and bodywork is pristine for the age of the car. The interior is quite worn and a replacement is currently being sourced.

I have a bit of Landy experience thanks to a very good friend of mine, owner of R-Tek Motorsport located in Liverpool. JJ has a very capable LHD 110 with almost nothng left as standard, I have also helped out on a few 90 builds as well as an early (and ongoing) classic rebuild.

I'm not sure that I will be keeping my RR, but in the mean time I have lots to be getting on with and finding the history within the forum very usefull. At the moment I think that I have bought a lot of car for not a lot of money.... lets see how much a few months of ownership really costs though!

Hi Guys!

I didn't think that anyone would have interest in a standard grey RR with a shoddy interior :D

As far as the other Landy things go I will get a few pics.

Ahem !! :D :D :D

ahh,

well pristine to me means original paintwork, few stonechips, no repairs or fading etc. Point taken I will find somewhere "arty" and get a few snaps uploaded. It's taking me to Scotland in a few weeks so hopefully there will be snow.

Watch this space and/or thread "pristine" ammendments to "above average"

obviously I'm missing something but glad your happy.

TBH more of a VW fan myself and I'd have bought a 90 if I had enough spare cash, always wanted a RR as well so here I am.

Enjoy your day

See I've never understood that philosophy

A 2003 RR TD6 Vogue I would expect to pay about £10K - £11K. Right?

A well looked after 1993 200tdi would cost about £5K

Just admit you like your creature comforts, there's no shame in it :p

I may have been suckered in by the bits & bobs that make it a comfortable drive. I wouldnt want to do an 800 mile round trip in a 90 so that also played into my decision tree, I wont rule out ever owning on in my life though. I like to think I dont fall into your "typical RR type"

oh and if you wanted to give me 11k for my current RR I would be a happy bunny :)

I do see your point but dont get all "us & them" on me, I might need you to pull my not very capable 4x4 out of the mud sometime ;)
