I have been looking at this site for a few weeks now, and finally got round to regestering today ... I have a stunning Ranger Rover 4.6HSE which I am smitten with ....the wife calls it the money pit...but hay ho ....

It is currently at the dealers poorly again ...after several hours of trying to find an electrical fault final verdict is Body ECU is faulty.....Dealer quoted me £1000+VAT+fitting ......OMG I said ...... Wife said thats it, got to go then I found this company that fixes ECU http://www.carelect.demon.co.uk/rrp3.html
ECU is back now £250+VAT later repaired (Corrosion & Ignition Live Fault)

I am expecting it back tomorrow from dealers...hopefully I will drive it out of the dealers as the last time I saw it, it was on the back of a recovery truck ..but will keep you all upto date of the outcome

good luck chap... those ecu's are massive i believe they are located under the drivers seat , when I took my car for diagnosis to a local specialist they were re-fitting a recon ecu it looked like one of the old fashioned beta max video recorders LMAO, just a bit more expensive and probably harder to source...LMFAO
