Hi my names Rick ive recently finished restoring a 1993 range rover classic 3.9 efi and as much as I love it I darnet even get it dirty haha so ive just been given the opportunity to buy my father in laws discovery 2 td5 so ive had it a week now and I have big plans for it but ive got a few issues I need to resolve which I will post in the correct section of the forum but for now il add afew pics of the 2 ones I have and hopefully get to no some of you. Hi and welcome to the loopy zone
So far ive managed to get the 6 inch suspension lift kit fitted and the 35 inch tyres
Ive also restored the headlights and fitted a winch bumper
just waiting on the following parts to finish her off
adjustable front panard rod
adjustable watts linkages
Need to make new brake lines to rear as mine are fully siezed and I cant get the longer brake flexis on
So at the moment its nice and high but if you push it its like jelly haha
Ive also got the 3 inch arch flare kit to fit along with some other bits and bobs but whilst installing the lift I found the rear pass shock mount wasn't attached to the car and when I started digging the frame as also perished so ive repaired that section and got the suspension done only to find 3 more massive holes on the rear of the frame near the fuel tank ( pictured ) so that's also on the list to repair prior to the mot
On the whole its a typical landy ****ing oil and rotten everywhere but nothing I haven't delt with before when restoring my classic range rover
Also attached a pic of my Mrs who's 5ft 5 next to the car and the window starts at about her mouth that's how high it is atm
