Hello everyone, nice to be amongst friends who share the passion for the Landy. Sorry that my intro aslo comes with a question, but where else better to ask than here??!! My Rangie 'Gertrude' (Don't ask!) came with a Parrot system fitted, and immediately alongside the display screen is a small brown button, When I press it, the sat nav/info screen flashes once, but the button doesn't seem to do anything. Unfortunately, the previous owner is no longer available, so I cannot ask him.
Does anyone have any idea what this button could be used for? Your hep would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to reading some interesting article on this forum. best of luck to everyone.

On the earlier parrots the control button was separate from the display screen . So is it not just that . The control button . Have you linked your phone up and then tried the button . Cuz with no phone connected it won't do much . And welcome :D

Also just remembered on a old one I had in my van was a cable that when you plugged your phone into it and pressed the button it would link it up to the van radio/display . So have a look around see to you got a iPhone/ aux jack cable somewhere hidden in glovebox or any over little cubby hole

Thank you Vanmancan, good advice. I will look into this, because, although my phone does seem to pair up with the car's built in Bluetooth, it does not seem to see the Parrot. There are a couple of connectors in the glove box, so perhaps that is the way to go. Also, when connected to the car system, there is no sound in either direction, so something is not tweaked properly. Wish I was closer to those who know better than me, but here in Italy, they only understand how to drive badly!

Not having a RR myself I couldn't tel you what if any of the leads you have are stranded or not . So you might want to try posting in the range rover section for help . But I'm guessing from what you said about on Bluetooth it only connects to the cars radio . That one of the leads is to the parrot like my old one . :)
