Hi everyone. I own a 1999 (December) Range Rover 4.0 auto. It only has 33500 miles on the clock and has a full LRSH. Just recently, when cold, it has started "hanging" in the gears, particularly in 1st. It will often go to 2000rpm before changing up, even in town driving. On the open road it recently reached 60mph, whilst accelerating gently, before dropping into top.
My local LR garage say it is just because of the cold weather, thick oil etc, and not to worry.
I recently saw an add in LRO mag in which re-con auto gearboxs were fitted with a new "govenor" to limit this very problem.
Am I looking at a large bill shortly?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.
