Hello to everyone at landyzone:D

Im new to forums and 4x4's especially discoverys,i'm looking for some advice/help on the what to look out for when buying a discovery. i have a budget of £3500-5000 to spend on a second hand discovery and i've seen some really nice ones but they all have high miles 100,000+ should i be bothered buy this? if not what should i be looking out for?
Also it will be pulling a caravan from time to time so i have been advised to get the 300 diesel rather then the 200 diesel or the petrol versions as this is a bit more economical.
please can anyone help? im so confused

Hello mate

If you are looking for a disco good choice but don't think because the paint is nice and shiny it will be good check underneath the boot carpet lift it completely up and check it at the front part were the seats tilt they rot like mad and can be expensive to replace if the rot is towards the arches and get right underneath to check the inner sills especially at the back were crap accumalates I would take a torche and have a good prod look at the prop-shafts uj's and grease nipples, mechanically if they have been looked after and there is not too much rust they are an awesome and capable vehicle and make sure the steering and drive train are tight

all the best and goodluck
