Hello all, Series 1 (1955) owner just joined.!

And I've joined because I have this burning desire to re-establish my little old Series 1 and have her back on the road again, so I'm guessing this is THE BEST PLACE to start...

Any other S1 owners out there.?

I'd love to know how many S1's are in existence. I should imagine there are plenty scattered all over the place..

Anyway, mine was first on the road in 1955. I think some time was spent in the forces and then she was in receipt of a new suffix "A" plate back in the 80's, which is a shame. I will pursue the original registration as time goes by and not the original, then a very close substitute will do.

My first question is that she was registered in 1955. According the DVLA Tax Disc checking system, it was 1st July 1955 but the tax liability started in 1988. I am obviously very keen to establish the 1955 year for tax so I'll head off to the forums for this, unless someone has an idea of what I can do.?

In the mean time, good to be hear and I'll look forward to catching up with a few at some point...

I own a series 1, more of a collider at the moment with rust until I save my pennies for new parts. Check out LRSOC as well as there are often cheap parts etc purely for series 1 .

Welcome - my son has a series one 107 with an A plate also. He also would like to get an age related plate if that is possible.
