Hi New Member here
We've had 4 Rovers (a 213 honda-engined, 2x216 honda-engined[still got one] and a 827Sterling honda-engined)
but this is our first Land Rover (D2 td5 auto; wish it had the 2.7honda-engine, but never mind)
If money was no obstacle I'd have a big v8 petrol RRC. But it is, so never mind.
So, Rover nbr 2 and its a D2, and I like star Wars, hence R-two-D2.... oh well, I thought it was clever, maybe not.
Had it for 5 years as my daily driver & relatively cheap motoring over around 25k miles, now at 130k.
Bought for £2k and spent around £3k on maintenance & MoT fixes todate, am happy with that.
Just removed the plastic sill covers & found some holes, but I can weld those up soonish.
How bad does it need to be before its better to just replace the whole sill?
The o/s front sill body mount bracket has a hole too, looks a bit tricky to get at! , hmm, any advice on that?
Cheers,
Ron
