Having seen how little maintenance and how clueless some people are about theirs cars I am pretty happy we have an MoT test.

I certainly agree, sometimes it is a right royal pain, but worth it in the end

Another nice touch with the CT is that if it fails on a défaillance critique you can’t drive after midnight the day of the CT of its défaillance majeure you are given a CT valid for two months & it's possible to have repeated two month CTs.

I think an annual test is a very good idea. I live in France & need a CT every two years so every other year & get an MOT while I am in the UK. I think that it's worth the modest cost to have an independent eye run over the car particular underneath.

They have given me a 3 month sticker.
Oops, I should have looked at the dates, it's December to February but actually only 2 months
