I used this type of relay base, it carries the output fuse(s) and if you really want it a fuse to protect the relay.Thanks All
OK looks like I will need to fit D3/4 jets then.
This is definately a bit of penny pinching on what was a £35,000 car.
Not sure if I have any more spare fuses under the bonnet after the light bar, and the headlamp upgrade
What mix of windscreen washer fluid are you using?I have the D3 ones but the whole lot freezes overnight and takes a while to thaw out........

It's worth noting that no amount of heating is going to be of any use unless the fluid in the entire system can be kept liquid. The only way to ensure that will be the case is to use the correct mix of washer fluid.
A gallon of water with a squirt of washing up liquid "just ain't gonna cut it".
Pre-mixed fluid is now easily available and isn't that expensive, and if you use a concentrate then mix it at 50/50%.
The last thing you want is a pump or water tank to split because of freezing.
