Hello out there, this is my first post.

I have acquired a Freelander 1 2004, it's the basic TD4 model.

Question, I have two blanking caps where the heated seats switch would be, I notice there are cables under the seats and also, if I take out the blanking caps, they are attached to electrical switches (see photo), does this mean I can simply swap in heater switches and connect them up, or not.

If so, where might you recommend I get the heated seat switches from.

I would think it unlikely that fitting a switch is all there is to it, but.....

LAND ROVER FREELANDER 1 heated seat SWITCH left hand Part number is YUG103110LNF | eBay

Please let us all know if it works.

I think you are going to need a relay and heat squib or what ever they are called. It you have wires coming out from the foam of the seat and have a little black box attached to the underside of the seat then a switch is all you need. But you can retro fit it all. I did.

Mine was the same as this. Blanking plugs with wired connectors behind them, a connector poking up through the carpet under each front seat, but not connected to anything as I had fabric seats with no heaters. I swapped them for leather seats and they had the heaters in them. Connected straight up, but I did have to get the switches off eBay to make it all work.

The switches are L and R handed btw.
