My heated drivers seat and drivers side of the screen does not heat up. I suspect new seatbase required. It apparently got really hot then stopped working with previous owner.

Are these linked or is it co-incidence the screen only heats passengers side?

Hoping I don't need a new screen and seatbase.

Needs a new heat mat on the seat, check the fuse (under the bonnet) for the heated screen, or if it's been replaced, check it's connected behind the 'A' pillar trim (two connectors).

TBH, at that age it may need a new seat base foam as getting the mat off will likely destroy it.

I could do with a new seat foam.. it's not so comfy anymore..

Yeah, I'll just look into a new base. Easiest option. and I will check behind A-pillar. How does it come off, is it just a pull away from the pillar?

IIRC there's a fixing at the top, either TX30 or 8mm A/F under the plastic 'airbag' trim piece.
Checking the fuse first is easier though...
