OK, we have a "result". :)
They apologise that the heater pad was not in the box, it is now being sent separately.
I will update when it gets here.
Don't think that's gonna work, the glass is encased in plastic with the element built in, it attaches with a clip on the back that, usually breaks when prising off the old one, if you get the correct one be sure to order a clip as well.

Yes i needed a mirror and the adapter for my p38, the old one had cracked and was stuck together with gaffer tape. Looked awful

I guess so.
So, I will be interested to know if it works. The heating elements have failed in both my mirrors due to Land Rover having them switched on all the time the ignition is on. Replacements are too expensive so I have not bothered so far.
If and when I fix them, I will look at changing things so they come on with the heated rear window, it's not necessary for them to be on all the time.

Hmmmm...... I thought they only came on when you pressed the PROG button on the Aircon, but I can find no proof of this.

I thought they came on when the temp outside reached a certain number 🤔
Mine work and went too expensive, the glass is very thin though compared to the oem that came off. They heat a 'square' not the whole mirror but it's perfectly fine

They have no connection to the HEVAC, they are operated from the BECM via the outstation, no switches shown in the circuit.

I went to try and replace this glass (finally) and "It's a negative ghost rider".
The old one that came out of the door mirror assembly was a really posh job with auto-dimming function.
Not only heating pad but also an outer second layer of clear glass and an electrode strip all the way round the edge.
and 2 more wires to activate the dimming/darkening function. The surround that bonds the 2 glass layers together and traps the fluid between them didn't want to let go of anything. I called on Brute force (and his mate ignorance) and before you know it the outer pane has cracked and the gel in the middle is oozing out.

Ripped the surround off completely and slid the outer clear pane off the underlying mirror in 2 pieces.
Cleaned the mirror up, put some CT1 sealant on it and put the new mirror on top of that. Filled the channel of the surround with CT1 and pressed it over/under/sideways/down and taped it in place. It's all sitting on a sheet of kitchen towel on top of a warm radiator curing off. Try and refit it after Xmas.
