Hi,
Anyone know what the cavity between the windscreen and the sun roof is for on a 3door 1.8xi w reg 2000 freelander ?
It is above the rear view mirror in the roof panel

Thanks

I always thought it was for sunglasses hence the little hole to put your finger in to get them out.

Mine dont fit

Sunglasses

My Miami Vice bling ones dont fit but my Tesco ones do, but slop about

Be careful where you put your fingers

Good thoughts though

I think the only sunglasses that would fit are those clip on ones you get if you wear glasses  I had forgotten my Freelander had this until I saw this post

Thank you for the replies

Great picture I see you put them in towards the windscreen.

Probably why mine got stuck and had to poke out with a pencil.

What a prat I am shame my handbook does not have that picture.

Probably made for Land Rover sunglasses

Thanks all

I find it handy for carrying a small lead ingot, every now and then it falls out and smacks me on the head, reminding me that I shouldn't have bought a Freelander in the first place.
