After some thoughts/advice with this one please......
Finished a journey and found that my headlights were on - I hadn't used them on the journey, only the indicators.
The tail/position lamps etc were all off.
I locked/unlocked the car several times, tried the light switch but all to no avail - headlights remained on.
Looked at fuses next and checked fuses 9 and 10 - each when pulled made no difference, headlights stayed on.
Decided to make my way home as would need to disconnect battery etc to save going flat. On the way home the lights just turned off??
I've tried the light stalk and all now appears to be back to normality, however would like to know what this could be in case it occurs again. Doing some research on here all I can find is a similar issue on a range rover where a dipped/dim relay is mentioned. Does the D2 have a similar relay?, I couldn't see one within the engine bay fuses or internal fuses...
Made me think of a bad earth, lose wire or something but wouldn't all the lights on that circuit be affected?
Many thanks
