Next one. After my wading adventures my headlights are now on all the time even with ignition off, it's been several weeks now, I'm assuming water in somewhere is causing a short, what's the likely culprit- a relay somewhere? Headlight switch? Something else?

I'm not an electrical genius, but the headlight switch is prone to overheating.

As said above the dip/main switch most likely the culprit. Are yours sealed beam type [best for wading] or ones with bulbs that can fill with water unless well sealed? Take it you have been disconnecting battery to prevent it going flat.
Dip/main as in the stalk on the side of the steering column? will have a look, I think they're supposed to be sealed but the rubber boot is a little tatty, one headlight got water in, the other was fine (both submerged,) well I've actually disconnected the plugs off the headlights rather than the battery, I've been working through a list of snags so the truck has been parked up for a week or two.

Extra load caused by water shorting in head lamp could cause the dip/main stalk to overload and melt,[ it's not very robust ]more so if higher rated bulbs are fitted.
