That’s actually reminded me I need to do something with my PAS reservoir. I retro fitted PAS and the bracket is half arsed to say the least.

Ok. It’s sorted and guess what…………..bad earth

The column switch wasn’t too clever either though. Some lube and a wee wiggle about fixed that

The column switch failed me the night before the MOT. I had no clue what the failure of the headlights was. Through the process just about every component was removed to check this and that, earths cleaned and double checked even though it was all working when I replaced the headlight units. Even with a leccy pal, we were head scratching until I suggested we try the horn for some reason. Anyway, that identified there was no power getting through the stalk. I think this was confirmed by bridging the pins on the connector block which sounded the horn and illuminated the lights. New stalk and a retest everyone’s a winner.
