Hi Guys, I have a 2009 (59 plate) freelander 2. My drivers side headlight stopped working last week, so I brought a new bulb only to have the new bulb also not work.
I swapped the working passenger bulb over to find the original "blown" and new bulb both work on the passenger side, and the working passenger bulb does not work on the drivers side.
I have checked all 3 fuse boxes and can't find any blown fuses. The wiring diagrams i have dont seem to reflect what i have in my fuse box so if anyone has a light wiring diagram they can share with me that would be cool.
Also has any one got any ideas what to check next?

Thanks

The headlamps are powered by the BCU. I know of a couple of instances on a D3, where the BCU output MosFet failed.

Hi guys, for anyone interested, I wasn't able to get hold of a multimeter, so I thought I'd try plugging the working passenger side headlamp into the drivers side wiring plug. When I switched the lights on they all worked. I then tried plugging the faulty drivers side headlamp into the passenger side wiring plug and still no dipped headlight. So from that test it appears I have a fault inside the headlight unit itself.
I can't see a way of dismantling the unit itself so it looks like I need a new headlight unit.
Thanks everyone for your advice
