Hi, hope you can help. I need to buy a new headlamp unit and I don't know if its auto adjust or not. I've got a control on the dashboard to adjust it. I'm assuming its not auto adjust but I have a nagging doubt. Can anyone help. Thank you in advance.

The headlights on a 2004 Disco aren't automatic adjusting, but they do have a manual control on the dashboard, as you say to adjust them. For normal running the control should be left at "0".
The suspension is self-levelling provided that you still have the air rear suspension and not changed to coil springs.
Beam adjustment is through two holes (about 1/2 inch) on the top of the lamp housing.

some lights are rigid bodied, non adjustment, then some are auto adjust, he's wanting to know which one for a replacement to replace factory ones, even i have looked and got confused! as there is new pattern ones and genuine ones for sale in all the spares dealers, so which one is it???
where's Sierrafery when you need him!!!

Dont be fooled by the whole " genuine vs aftermarket " facelift headlights. They're only made by one company and if you look closely at a Britpart one you can even see where the landrover oval has been over stamped. All UK cars of that age should have adjutable headlights, having said that, if your car has sls then a non levelling light unit would be ok.
