Thanks hopeing to get her fired up the weekendNice work!
I'll keep you posted as all the bits will be here tomorrow so back to it againRotten luck after all the work put into it. I hope the engine damage is not too bad.
Well done re the MOT though.
Thanks not bad for a little £100 welder I'll keep you all posted just hope no bent valves or pistons with holes good old dingocroft came up trumps with the timing belt and tensioner and fan belt as the old 14 j bits are getting harder to get hold ofX1 That's a real bummer after all that work. Really quality welding work too. I hope you get on the road soon. Landys eh!
It's not as clean but the little mighty mig did well I've just been cleaning the the cam housing up water pump off just got to get me bottom crank timing cog off so I can get to the oil seal then I can start to put it all back together and see if there any other damageThats quite a good welding job to say its gasless, i could never get on with gasless.
I phone them if I'm stuck they got my dipstick for meTurner Engineering are good for engine parts although can't say specifically for the 14J. They are usually extremely helpful though and would probably know people who can help if they can't.
I am I'll enjoy it while it lasts lol got to say it run like a dream just got me bits that due to a bit of neglect and standing for so long to do but it's getting there thanksHey! Yer on the road at last. Enjoy.
