head gasket

Hi, can anyone give me an idea of how much im looking at to have a head gasket change on my freelander 1.8 05 reg? its had no problems with overheating, leaking etc but its been using alot of coolant and when ive checked the oil, its the dreaded milky colour. its having its mot tomorrow aswell...dreading it!!

cheers..not what i was hoping to hear but thats just my luck. I can get the parts for under £40 but i know the labour costs the most..why didnt i go in to be a mechanic!!!

There are a number of mobile mechanics who will come to you, go on .ORG, there's a well recommended one on there.
