Guys every time I turn on my ignition it comes up HDC inactive but when I knock on the HDC button it seems to work any ideas?
Cheers

Dirty sensor(s). I had exactly this on a Jaguar for the Traction Control now and again. Could also be a bad connection on one of the sensors where it goes into the loom. That's the easy fix with any luck!

There's one on each wheel. There will be a wire attached usually with WABCO written on it. Trace the wire back to where it joins at a plug on each one, remove, clean and refit. Cleaning the actual face of the sensor inside the hub is a different story as they do not come out usually without breaking. Your car is at the age where things like sensors can start to need replaced so it might be best to bite the bullet and have it plugged in to a Testbook or equivalent see which one is causing it. OK it'll cost but save time in the long run.

It's very simple. it's a low battery charge. When it drops its voltage very lightly it seeks to shut down things one by one as the power drops. the HDC is the first as it's not used very often. Charge your battery fully or change it. you may have a drain. Do you get flat batteries at all?

I do if it's left stood for a week or so.
I have just had the battery checked and apparently it was all ok?

Hi guys
Sorry to jump in smurf boy, but I had the same message come up today, first time ever. Was only quickly, just enough time to read it, then it was fine. Few have mentioned a low battery, but I replaced mine 2 months ago with a bloody expensive one so I'm hoping its not that

How did you get on with yours mate?
