If all you did was unplug the compressor then plug it back in, there should be no more to do than reset the fault....

I trust when you disconnected the compressor the ignition was completely off and whilst the compressor was disconnected the ignition wasn't switched on at all??

When you disconnect the pump (even with the ignition off) the system logs a hard fault and won't turn back on without a diagnostics reset first.

Mine done the same.

Really???!

Fecking stupid idea.....!!

Diagnostics it is then....!!!

Dealer would no doubt be £50-75 for that....or a friendly local LZ member with the gear to help - I work near LHR, but my Diagnostics Gear is in my L322, which my heavily pregnant girlfriend now drives (as she can't get into her Fiat 500 when it is in the garage - so I have been resigned to letting her drive my dearly beloved and I drive my 735 to work and back now).

I am out tomoz, but if you are willing to drive it to LHR Wednesday during the day (I work 8-4 so anythime inbetween those times) we could meet up near work and I can see if I can reset the fault for you....

Just before you try a diagnostics give a battery disconnect / reconnect then steering lock to lock a go , it's worth a try , most indies are about £50 for diagnostics or dealers for £80 ....

yes, it seems to be that way.

soon after buying my L322, i disconnected the pump to check for an issue i was having. soon after i was shocked to find i had totally disabled the EAS panel. this was before i even owned any diagnostics gear.

soon after the all comms came, it reset it straight away.

nothing faces me now on these motors ;)

This isn't going to help anybody out there, but it really has helped me. I thought I was going crazy as all and everything I've just read has and is happening to my '05 L322 and I thought it was just me and mine until I "somehow" hit on this Forum without knowing how. Not only has my little beast done everything to me that I have read about but she is still playing up. I have counted my lucky stars as I have had her for the past 10 years and never had any issues at all, I'm about to go through probably everything that has been written here as there doesn't appear to be a definite solution that last, but I shall come back with any success or failings that I may encounter and let y'all know if I have a result. This weekend (if I can get hold of one) I'm hoping to change the Central Control Module (under the passenger seat). LR no longer stock these at all so I'm open to suggestions if anybody has a genuine great spares supplier. As I have said, I have had it seen it heard it all over the past week and I've got the tee shirt with it all down the front ( I estimate the T is six foot long nw as well) and I thank you guys for your input as there are some good "Try this's" in there. Have got diagnostics? You cannot just swap stuff, many items need coding to the car, plus you need to know what fault codes are present and why.
