hello peeps

after swapping my shuttle valves and doing the Disco wiring bypass for them i went into the car and hooked up my hawkeye and did some live data reading and it says that when my Acc pedal is on the floor it says its only 77%

with mine being a L series Diesel i have the pot thing on the top of the pedal my question is can these be adjusted or is it playing up i have no other faults as when i lift off it does read 0%

i have tried this above and still says 77% might have to speak to a mate to as he has one and im maybe thinking its the thing on the Acc pedal maybe at fault

Are you sure the pedal travel scale should be 0 to 100% as opposed to what you currently see, 0 to 77%? Does you pedal give you the full range of revs expected of the engine?

i dont normally g to the red zone... will see what happens first me going out in car or a friend who has the same and will test his to compare.. just thought it was odd saying 77%

It is quite normal for a petrol throttle pot to show % readings between 15 and 85. It could well be the same for the diesel engine too? Don't forget that the engine is also fitted with a MAF so the ECU knows what amount of fuel to inject. Throttle pots are normally used to tell the ECU things like rate of change over a short time period, eg when you floor the throttle, this would trigger the ECU to add a bit more fuel before the MAF feeds back the increased air flow. I'm not an expert on diesels by a long way but EDC ECU's work much like there petrol counterparts.
