Has anyone used ChipsAway for P38 corrosion patches?

Hi

Was wondering if anyone has used a mobile sprayer to rectify the corrosion patches that p38's are prone to?

Mine has 3 small patches to the bottom of the drivers door and the same on the lower boot lid. Just wondered if using 'ChipsAway' or similar was false economy?

Mine has a couple of small patches of corrosion under the wing mirrors so I'd be interested in responses. I've thought about possibly sanding the area down and painting it as it's fairly well hidden and I've done some spray painting in the past with positive results. Saying that, I've noticed you can pick up doors off eBay for around £50 so it might be worth looking for replacement panels.
 
I contacted my local ChipsAway to find the guy has gone to work for another company called Liquid Finish, they will repair up to 4 patches on the same panel for £68 which seems reasonable. As my car is black and the repair work will be at the bottom of the door I am seriously considering it

Sounds good, I'd check they've worked with aluminium first as I believe it needs quite some prep and zinc primer, etc.
 
Be wary as I know a Professional Mobil sprayer if its a dent they will guarantee the fix for a year but if its corrosion they don't like to do it or offer any warranty . For return corrosion but in saying that better than leaving it exposed
 
yeah not to gaurantee corrosion is pretty standard, but with iit being ally it shouldnt come back like it does on steel.
