Best mod ever (well after the heated screen!) with it off the battery is 100 percent isolated, so can be left for months and still start the car.

Mine came with one of these. I was going to junk it unitl I found out how usefull it was. Its connected to islolate all the electrics EXCEPT the starter main cable.

Its on a 1/8" thick brass plate bolted to the nut on the +ve battery terminal, the starter cable is as normal but everything esle is via the isolator
****e, plus you have to lift the bonnet/seat box every time you want to use the car, not an issue if the car is a toy.
Ebay heavy duty battery isolator for about 10 quid, some cable roughly a metre or two, and some lugs which you crimp or solder.
