My handbrake warning light didn't go out the other day when pulling away from work.
Checked the reservoir-level fine.
Removed the switch,no change when pressed or released manually.
I have also the 3 amigo's lit too, these have been on for a couple of months now (not causing any problems).
Are these faults interlinked?
Time to get plugged in I think lol
Is the only way to diy,to spend £300odd on those hand held scan tools??

in this case the red brake system warning(which is for handbrake too) is part of the 3 amigos...it happens usually on permannent sensor faults(completely open or short circuit), normally(as the system was conceived) it must be 4 amigos(the usual 3 + this one) all the time but in reality it comes on only on "clean" faults not on intermittent or partial ones so your plan is good, get it plugged in then fix the fault and it will dissapear together with the other 3....see attachment
