Hi all,

I recently had a wheel bearing replaced (front right) and since then the handbrake light on the dashboard has been coming on when going down hill?

Does anyone have any ideas what might have caused this, before I take it into the garage that did the bearing?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Depending on age, do you have wear indicators on your brake pads?

If so, suspect the wire that connects from the pads to the dash light is lose/chaffed and rubbing to earth

Hi
Mines a 2001 hard top that dosent have wear sensors fitted if thats any help. It could be the handbrake not going completly off, had the same with mine & renewed the handbrake cable that sorted it. The wheel bearing wont have any effect if there is no sensors fitted in my limited knolwedge.
