hand brake "on" indicator

does anyone have a hand brake indication light on their series 3? i've found a simple switch mechanism attatched to the bottom of my hand brake but its not wired to anything, there's no lamps on the dash for it either.

i've had a look through the series 3 parts book and its not in it either.... :confused:

its not a major consern really, the landy is currently without an engine, but i was just curious.........
 
Never been offered on a Series motor, but I've often thought about fitting a switch and light, shouldn't be difficult.
Sounds like an unfinished project.
 
it looks in keeping with the other landrover electrical bits although the switch itself has a fundamental flaw, when the switch is closed the circuit is completed with a piece of plastic..... unless a bit has fallen off! :rolleyes:
